Bonsai & Wood Carving Jin Scraper Loop Knife - 3 Piece Set

Commonly referred to as a graver, jin scraper or loop knife, this traditional tool has a great many uses in bonsai work.

These little loop knives are perfect for shaping green or seasoned wood when creating jins. Also remarkably good at removing bark and cleaning soft and rotten wood. Great for cutting shari or even removing bark accurately when air layering.

Loop knives are used with a pulling action and is surprisingly efficient at removing material, hard or soft.

High carbon spring steel blade coupled to a very strong tubular stainless steel handle. Used correctly these tools will easily last a lifetime. Every bonsai tool kit should contain at least one loop knife!

The blade is high carbon spring steel which can rust if not stored correctly. Always apply a wipe of Camellia Oil prior to storing all bonsai tools.
