Kaneshin Bonsai Jin & Wire Pliers

Kaneshin Cutlery Mfg (Japan) is a family owned business that have been making superior quality cuttlery and tools since 1919. Still family owned and operated these super high quality bonsai tools are hand made by time served craftsmen in small numbers using the very highest quality. Yasuki-Hagane steels carefully selected to give the best performance depending upon the tools use.

Kaneshin are known around the world for making the best quality bonsai pruning and cutting tools. For the price nothing else comes close. Every tool is a consumate work of art and every detail has been refined over decades to ensure exemplary performance and a lifetime of service.

Kaneshin bonsai tools are available in many patterns and combinations of steel. This is to ensure best performance but it's important, as with all tools, to select the correct tool for the job and use it appropriately to avoid damage or poor performance.

The model 50A is a nicely refined jin and wire plier expertly crafted from exceptional SK steel. Not the most exciting tool in the box but definately in any bonsai artists top five go to tools. A beautifully finished tool with long straight handles that make them both powerful and very comfortable in the hand. With care these lovely pliers will last a lifetime. Don't let the low price fool you, Kaneshin don't make anything except outstanding bonsai tools!

Used for both creating deadwood jins by tearing or wire work. Particulary usefull for removing heavy twisted wire. Stout incurved handles make for exceptional comfort in use and the short jaws provide exceptional holding power. Finally the fulcrum rivet is milled down to a flush finish giving better access in a tight spot. Never apply heavy side bending loads to pliers as they can be twisted. The maximum load should be applied parallel to the handles.

175mm overall length.?

Supplied in a printed presentation box as shown.

SK steel will rust if not cared for appropriately. Always give a wipe over with Camellia Oil after use. Always ensure the tools pivot is oiled prior to use, this will ensure decades of exempary performance and prevent wear.
