Kaneshin Bonsai Pruning Scissors Large - 40B - SK Steel

Kaneshin Cutlery Mfg (Japan) is a family owned business that have been making superior quality cuttlery and tools since 1919. Still family owned and operated these super high quality bonsai tools are hand made by time served craftsmen in small numbers using the very highest quality Yasuki-Hagane steels carefully selected to give the best performance depending upon the tools use.

Kaneshin are known around the world for making the best quality bonsai pruning and cutting tools. For the price nothing else comes close. Every tool is a consumate work of art and every detail has been refined over decades to ensure exemplary performance and a lifetime of service.

Kaneshin bonsai tools are available in many patterns and combinations of steel. This is to ensure best performance but it's important, as with all tools, to select the correct tool for the job and use it appropriately to avoid damage or poor performance.

The traditional model 40B is made with a cheaper all steel construction than the laminated types but remains a formidable tool. A beautifully finished tool you can work hard for decades. Don't let the low price fool you, Kaneshin don't make anything except outstanding bonsai tools!

Use for trimming green growth, shoots and candles through to twigging or small branches and roots (up to 6-8 mm in the back of the blade) on all bonsai trees. This traditional pattern scissor is used for pruning larger bonsai twigs, small branches and roots. Always ensure soil and all aggregates are removed from roots prior to pruning or the cutting edges can be damaged by hard stones. The nice wide finger loops are both comfortable to use and powerful.

180mm overall length. 50mm blade length.

Supplied in a printed presentation box as shown.

SK steel will rust if not cared for appropriately. Always give a wipe over with Camellia Oil after use. Always ensure the tools pivot is oiled prior to use, this will ensure decades of exempary performance and prevent wear.
